Tetsuya Nishina (仁科 哲也 Nishina Tetsuya)  is a Master Sergeant and a member of Third Recon Team.

Appearance

Nishina is a skinny pale-skinned young man with short jet black hair.

He is usually seen wearing his army uniform.

Nishina has a friendly and laid-back personality.

Nishina has a wife whom he holds dearly and he appears to have a stable relationship with her.

Plot

Skills & Abilities

Basic Training: Like all JSDF personnel, Nishina has undergone basic physical and combat training. He is good physical condition and is a competent marksman.

Military Administration: Nishina is skilled with JSDF bureaucracy as he assists the much-less-skilled Lt. Yōji Itami with rapidly setting up the refugee camp's housing and services when they first arrived at Alnus Base.

Etymology

• The name Tetsuya means "philosophy, clear" (哲) (tetsu) and "to be, also" (也) (ya).
• Tetsuya's surname Nishina means "compassionate" (仁) (ni) and "family, department, section, course" (科) (shina).
